With the “Me Too” movement, women are finding the courage and conviction to speak up against the abusive behaviors of powerful men and institutions. They are sharing their stories in court and outside of court to prevent repeated patterns of abuse and future victims. Yet, seeking justice comes with a price.
The conversation will feature National Women’s Hall of Fame inductee, iconic women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred and some of her clients who successfully challenged those who victimized them. Joining Ms. Allred on the panel are her clients who spoke out against Governor Cuomo, R. Kelly, U.S.C. and Dr. George Tyndall. The conversation will be moderated by Trusteeship Board member, Ilyanne Morden Kichaven.
Hear about their turning point, what prompted them to have the fortitude to come forward in a public arena and have the tenacity to see justice served under the scrutiny of the public eye, challenging seemingly unstoppable forces.
