Join Trusteeship member Rabbi Emerita Laura Geller along with Ruqayya Khan (a specialist in the early Koran and a professor of Islamic Studies at Claremont Graduate University) and Tammi Schneider (Professor of Religion & Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities at Claremont Graduate University) as we explore The Legacy Of Our Shared Biblical Grandmothers in all religions.
This will be a learning evening where we’ll read a short text from the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament about Hagar in which we will discuss how this line of text influences our lives today, most notably, the role of working women, how does one treat immigrants/foreigners, and how do women treat each other.
This will be a true thinking and learning experience you will not want to miss.
Meeting at Maggiano’s at The Grove from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
