The Trusteeship trip to Tostan in Senegal, Africa is almost organized. We have enough details to share so you can do some planning and commit to the trip.
Background:
Our Trusteeship member and Meredith MacRae Award winner, Molly Melching, is the founder and president of Tostan, a human-rights organization focused on abandonment of genital cutting of women, preventing child marriage and educating all in villages throughout West Africa (www.tostan.org). Trusteeship member Judy Miller introduced Tostan to all of us. About fifteen Trusteeship members visited Tostan in 2006. It was a memorable trip, definitely worthy of a reprise for its exotic, impactful learning experience and the fun of being together. Dates:
January 28, 2017 – February 5, 2017.
