Founded in 1979, The Trusteeship is a Southern California invitation-only organization that brings together preeminent women of achievement and influence from diverse fields through customized programming, providing its members with a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences in an environment of collegiality. Its 225+-membership base covers eight counties: Ventura, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Inland Empire, Riverside. Members are in academia, the arts, armed forces, corporate and entrepreneurial business, banking and investments, entertainment and media, law, public sector, sports, sciences, nonprofits, to name a few.
The Trusteeship is the Southern California chapter of the International Women’s Forum, a global organization of preeminent women of significant and diverse achievement across six continents, 33 nations and 76 affiliated forum locations: 8,000 women leader-members from North America, Latin America, the Atlantic and Caribbean, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The IWF brings together an unprecedented global membership in a conference format to exchange ideas, to learn and inspire, and to promote better leadership for a changing world.
Transcending political, philosophical, and cultural boundaries, The Trusteeship allows members to interface with each other in opportunities they would never have had, broadening one’s experience and knowledge base — enhancing one’s life. Most importantly, it is about the unique relationships that are cultivated within The Trusteeship that members most value.
Through the relationships that develop, members often find areas of common interests and work together to address issues at the local, state, national and international levels or come together to champion emerging women leaders.
