As we all can assume, the visit to The Huntington was a fabulous event for all thanks to Trusteeship member and CEO of The Huntington, Laura Skandera Trombley!
Cristina Rose, who took care of the sign in desk for The Trusteeship that day exclaimed:
It was a wonderful event!
Our members and guests got to enjoy a talk with The Huntington’s Dan Lewis who is the Chief Curator of Manuscripts. Dan also holds an endowed position overseeing the institution’s history of science, medicine and technology holdings. Dan also has a Ph.D. in History from the University of California at Riverside, and has had post-doctoral appointments at the Smithsonian, Oxford University, and most recently, as a Fellow at the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society in Munich, where he spent the past summer on a writing fellowship. Wow!
Guests also received passes to tour The Huntington Library and Gardens at their leisure after a delightful Tea in the newly renovated Tea Room.
