ELISE BUIK and SUSAN ROSE will be recognized by the Los Angeles League of Women Voters Education Fund, at their Annual Dinner on March 16th at the Biltmore Hotel.

Girl Scouts San Diego honors GAYLE TAUBER, Founder Kashi Company, as one of “San Diego’s 10 Cool Women of 2011” Celebration on March 15 at the Del Mar Country Club.

ROXANNE CASON has been chosen as an honoree for The 10th Annual Women Who Care Luncheon on May 5th benefitting United Cerebral Palsy of New York City. The event will be held on Thursday, May 5th. A recently published book, L.A. RISING: SoCal Artists Before 1980 by Lyn Kienholz chronicles the early work of over 400 artists who helped make the Southern California region a current world class cultural destination.  Trusteeship members, LITA ALBUQUERQUE, PHOEBE BEASLEY and JUNE WAYNE are included in this compilation.

JULIA GOUW, President and Chief Operating Officer of East West Bank, has been elected to the boards of Pacific Mutual Holding Company and Pacific LifeCorp, the parent companies of Pacific Life Insurance Company.  Julia was named in US Banker as one of the “25 Women to Watch” in October 2010.

ELIZABETH HARRINGTON was appointed by the Mayor of Chicago as the city’s legal representative and Ambassadress to China, as the Executive Director of the Chicago-China Economic Development Center, with offices in Shanghai and Chicago.

MARTHA DANIEL, President and CEO of Information Management Resources, Inc. will be the Keynote Luncheon Speaker for “Delta Day at the United Nations” Conference to be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 in New York. She will be addressing the Status of Women’s priority theme focused on access and participation of women and girls in education, training, science and technology, including for the promotion of women’s equal access to full employment and decent work.

AMY ALCOTT, three-time Kraft Nabisco Championship winner and member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour and World Golf Halls of Fame, along Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market and Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Foundation, have teamed up to host the fresh&easy Dinah Shore Charity Pro-Am. The inaugural event will celebrate 40 years of the Kraft Nabisco Championship as well as benefit two children’s educational initiatives in the greater Los Angeles area.  The inaugural pro-am event will be played on April 2, 2011, at the Mission Hills Country Club, Palmer course.

PATTY DE DOMINIC , Founder of Women’s Festivals was the master of ceremonies of the 4th annual Women’s Festival in Santa Barbara on March 4-5th.  This event featured a business expo, discussions and awards ceremony.  HELENA ASHBY and EILEEN PADBERG participated at the event on a panel discussion “Building Lasting Relationships on the front lines of empowerment in the Middle East”.
