Sadly, we lost another preeminent member of The Trusteeship with the passing of Deborah Sussman, a Trusteeship member since 1987. Iconic in the world of design and unforgettable to all who knew her, Deborah was her inimitable self until her last moments, unafraid and peaceful at the time of her passing with husband Paul at her side.
The subject of a retrospective exhibition in 2013, Founder of AIGA Los Angeles and a former AIGA board member, Deborah also was the recipient of many honors and accomplishments.
Deborah left an indelible mark on Los Angeles and on all of us who loved and admired her. She was a very active member of The Trusteeship, attending our annual retreats and even our trip to Africa to see Molly Melching’s work in Senegal.
